Head of Quality

Location: Wiltshire (on‑site)

SRG are working with an innovative UK manufacturer supplying high‑quality, UK‑produced API products from a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art cultivation, processing and laboratory operation. The site has been designed with sustainability in mind and runs a carbon‑negative model. The team is growing, with strong backing and a clear plan for scale.

The role

This is a newly created position leading the site’s shared Quality & Technical services, working day‑to‑day with Operations to keep standards tight and product moving. You’ll shape how Quality & Technical runs as the business develops.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a the quality team made up of QA, QC, including mentoring and performance management.
• Embed GMP across the site; being the Subject matter expert for standards, inspections and internal investigations.
• Own GxP documentation and protocols; identify deviations, run root‑cause analysis and implement CAPA.
• Track and report quality metrics to senior management; communicate priorities across teams.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies; report near misses, accidents and incidents.
• Ensure controlled drugs are handled in line with company and Home Office procedures, including destruction.

About you

• A relevant scientific degree (or equivalent experience)
• Proven background in QA, with team leadership experience experience in a GMP pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience of managing quality systems in a GMP production environment.
